Traditional Chinese instruments—most notably the guqin, xiao, and pipa—are woven seamlessly with ambient textures, inviting the listener into serene mountain retreats and misty garden scenes.

Each piece paints a vivid landscape. “Sơ Mai Lộng Ảnh” (Shu Méi Nòng Yĭng) captures the delicate beauty of plum blossoms swaying in the breeze, while “Đình Trúc Tích Tuyền” (Tíng Zhú Di Quán) evokes the calming drip of spring water amidst bamboo groves. “Hồ Đình Vãn Quy” (Hú Tíng Wăn Gui) is gently melancholic, conjuring images of returning home at twilight, and “Phong Vũ Tàn Lôi” (Feng Yŭ Cán Léi) shifts the mood with distant echoes of storm and fading thunder, adding emotional depth to the album’s flow.

The highlight “Thủy Nguyệt Không Thiện Tâm” (Shuĭ Yuè Kong Chán Xin) reflects Buddhist influence, evoking a still mind observing the reflection of the moon on water. The closing tracks, “Đăng Hiên Đãi Nguyệt” (Deng Xuan Dài Yuè) and “Hành Vân Lưu Thủy” (Xíng Yún Liú Shuǐ), leave a sense of timeless drifting, where music, like clouds and flowing water, transcends form.
