"This is a very nice compilation of piano, mostly adagio concerto movements, from a wide range of composers and centuries. I bought it for the Poulenc concerto for two pianos, which is a homage to Mozart and very light and amusing. The surprise treat was the Artur Lemba. Lemba is an Estonian composer (like Arvo Part.) I wasn't familiar with Lemba's music, but I am going to get more familiar. This sample was wonderful!

The rest of the cds are the type you tend to leave in the cd changer to play over and over, especially if you need a relaxed or romantic mood. Some of the music is quite familiar (Chopin) and others are a welcome introduction to lesser-known but estimable works. This CD is a brilliant assembly of slow movement piano works that never fails to please." (Joanna Daneman)
