Born into a musical family, Huang Xiaoman began studying piano from a young age. She joined the China National Opera House in 1976 and graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music’s Piano Department in 1985. Appointed as Music Director in 1990, she was named a National First-Class Performer in 1991 and is a recipient of the prestigious State Council Special Contribution Expert Allowance.

This album is a celebration of nostalgia, musicianship, and the enduring soul of classic music through the voice of the accordion.
