Another strong impressionistic effort by an unsung solo piano artist who deserves more recognition. This collection is a musical reflection of her growth as seen through the vision of a "Stone Cottage" with a wild garden. Inside are the books, music, and art she loves, along with the people who have made her journey so interesting. Not surprisingly, the music is a little darker, more minor key than on her previous effort, Jarrell's Cove. There's a definite melancholy tinge to "Blue," but some redemption to joy in the daring "Over the Garden Wall," which allows a few shafts of light in the picture. Produced by Michael Gettel, whose own masterful new age catalog features brilliant solo piano work alongside ensemble fusion. (Allmusic)
This is an excellent piano solo album. All of the pieces have a very calming effect. Highly recommended for anyone who loves romantic piano music!
