Ennio Morricone (born November 10, 1928) is an Italian composer famous for his work on the spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leone, particularly The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Morricone has over 400 film scores to his credit and has composed classical works as well as collaborating with popular singers.

He originally worked on choral music composition and music direction before switching his attention to modern classical music. He has composed over 40 pieces of contemporary classical music throughout his lifetime.

Morricone has won two Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, five Anthony Asquith Awards for Film Music by BAFTA in 1979–1992 and the Polar Music Prize in 2010. He has been nominated for five Academy Awards for Best Music, Original Score during 1979–2001. He received the Academy Honorary Award in 2007 "for his magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the art of film music".

Dĩ nhiên, trong CD không thể thiếu âm nhạc của bộ ba phim (trilogy) nói về nhân vật Blondie là A Fistful Of Dollars, For A Few Dollar More và The Good, The Bad  And The Ugly. Tuy đây là phim cao bồi quay ở Italia, đạo diễn người Italia, nhưng phong cách nhạc thì “phủi” hơn nhiều phim cao bồi Mỹ chính hiệu với tiếng đàn guitar, tiếng huýt sáo, tiền dàn đồng ca phụ họa, nhịp trống dồn dập… Dù âm nhạc mộc mạc, đơn sơ, hoang dại, nhưng giàu hình ảnh, rất kịch tính khiến ai từng xem phim cao bồi dễ dàng hình dung về những vùng đất với cát đỏ hoang vu, quán bar với cánh cửa lửng bé tẹo, những tiếng súng đanh gọn, chát chúa… Không chỉ Trilogy Blondie, nhạc của các phim cao bồi khác như Once Upon A Time In The West, Once Upon A Time In America hay My Name Is Nobody đều như vậy! Đặc biệt, bản Chi Mai – nhạc nền của phim Le Professionnel – rất ấn tượng với tiếng violin réo rắt đầu ma quái và phong cách âm độc đáo.
